From the Nimbuzz blog

“These might not be the best news of today, but we’d like to inform you that as of July 1st Nimbuzz for Windows Mobile phones will no longer be available for download from our website.

If you already have Nimbuzz on your mobile phone we will continue to offer support until the end of 2010, but no new features will be added, which means there won’t be any future update.”

They do menti0n in the blog post that they will – maybe – develop for the Windows Phone 7 platform.

According to a Smarthouse post Dan Neary Asia Pacific Vice President for Skype, stated Skype is focusing on the iPhone, Symbian and Android operating systems – not Windows Mobile 7.

I find it hard to believe that Skype would not develop for such a large market.  There are so many Apple/Google detractors that WM7 will get a big bump when it is launched.

Windows Mobile currently has a 24% market share for business users, behind RIM/Blackberry and the iPhoneOS.

I am sure Microsoft has learned from the Android OS and will make the platform open – not open source – to developers.

I would bet that Skype will have a native app for WM7 on launch day.

Just saw the Lenove LePhone for the first time.  The interface looks very modern.  It is being launched in May and I want to get my hands on a test unit.

The review is in Chinese but here is a link to a Google translated version

How long until we get a SIP VoIP client on this thing?

“Access to the application menu button in the upper right corner of the main interface, just click the red phone button top right corner of the round will enter inside the application and the iPhone, very similar, all using the 4 × 4 arrangement of style, but less in the bottom of a row of fixed Programs menu, and Music Phone icon is all round design.”

“Summary: Phone interface seen after the music feels very good, no common sense out the cards in accordance with Android, do a very lot of independent innovation, while fashion is also practical, and in the support 1GHz processors are very smooth overall operation , gives us a very deep impression, certainly compared to all the functions it is more looking forward to the bar, then we will be served all functions of the Music Phone more comprehensive evaluation.”
